It is roughly 25 degrees (Fahrenheit) here with wind chills in the teens today. In other words it is completely miserable out side and somewhat uncomfortable inside away from the fireplace or heat registers…
I really do not like this cold weather. My skin has become so dry that nearly every inch of it is itchy. The air is so dry that I am terrified of dying from a surge of static electricity. You can’t go outside for more than 30 seconds at a time unless you are wearing a minimum of 10 layers of clothing.
That is why I am sharing this photograph of Wat Pho in Bangkok, Thailand. Just looking at this image almost makes me feel warm. On the day I took this shot (back in late October) it was in the mid 90s and unbelievably humid. By 10Am in the morning I was completely soaked in sweat and salt was crusting on my skin. As hot as it was it seems like heaven compared to the cold outside today…
Oh how I long to be back in Bangkok right now…
